Prepare for Your Visit
What to Wear to the Range
New to the range? Whether you’re joining us for the first time or you’re a seasoned
shooter, proper attire goes a long way in ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
Range Wear Do's
Check Before You Come
Review our website or call to confirm dress requirements. Check the weather and dress for conditions.
Wear a Hat
A cap shields your face from the sun and protects your head from ejected hot brass. It also keeps hair out of your eyes.
Always Wear Eye & Ear Protection
This isn't optional—eye and ear protection is mandatory on all ranges. We have everything you need in our Pro Shop.
Pack a Scarf or Neck Wrap
Shirts with open collars can expose your neck and chest to stray brass. A lightweight scarf adds quick protection.
Choose Long Pants
Long pants protect your legs from brass, bugs, brush, and the elements. Cargo or tactical pants with room for movement are ideal.
Have Dedicated Range Clothes
Keep a separate outfit for shooting days. Wash range clothes separately to limit lead particle exposure.
Range Wear Don'ts
Avoid Tank Tops & Low-Cut Shirts
Exposed skin is a hot brass magnet. Stick to high-neck, long-sleeve shirts when weather permits.
Open-Toed Shoes Discouraged
Sandals and flip-flops leave your feet vulnerable. Wear sneakers, tactical shoes, or boots that fully cover your feet.
Keep Jewelry to a Minimum
Leave large earrings, bracelets, and rings at home. Jewelry can interfere with your grip, aim, and safety.
